Not everyone is lucky enough to have good health... But by making small adjustments to our lives we can quickly find that we can positively improve our health.
This is where Positive Health Pilates come in. This class is aimed at you if you have:
- Joining a class can be daunting if you think you are the only one with an on-going condition. Many of us live with on-going medical conditions. Some include:
- Oesteoarthritis (OA)
- Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA)
- Oesteoporosis (OP)
- General joint pain/stiffness
- Returning from injury or surgery:
- After your intervention or injury, you may be advised to attend Pilates to help strengthen your body.
- Ideal for Back Rehabilitation:
- Strengthen core muscles to reduce pain, improve mobility and function.
- Widespread pain syndromes like ME/CFS/FM:
- Tiredness and fatigue can take its toll and not everyone understands
- Use Pilates to help strengthen core muscles and increase your stamina and movement and also help reduce pain.
- Function and stability can be improved for those with neurological conditions such as MS and Cerebral Palsy.
- Balance and co-ordination can be improved with specific Pilates moves.
This is also an excellent starter class if you have never tried Pilates or if you have not exercised for some time.
We also offer Private Positive Health Pilates for those who would like 1-2-1 sessions where we take into account all aspects of your health and lifestyle to design a progressive programme.
NB this course is not an alternative to seeking correct diagnosis from a qualified health care professional, but will help correct posture and often people have found that it alleviates pain and improves their day to day function.
