This course is all about beginners: to exercise, to pain. Pilates can often be hard to describe – words do seem inadequate sometimes, but the results speak for themselves.
We take nothing for granted – you may not know your elbow from your epicondyles, but that does not matter. We ‘hold your hand’ from start to finish.
Your goals and results and how you feel after your sessions are of prime importance to you and us.
You may have tried group classes at local centres or classes, but due to the nature of the class (which can be large and impersonal), you may feel that you don’t get the right attention. Other reasons can be:
- Are you able to hear or see everything the instructor is showing you?
- Are you surrounded by ‘skinny-minnies’ or the all-achieving sports people?
- Can’t seem to find someone else just like you in the class?
Or, you may not want to even try a large class – you want things explaining and modifying to you, and making relevant to your life now. You may want to get back to a hobby or activity which you have had to put on hold.
People come to Pilates for lots of reasons. My clients tend to be (on the whole) 50 plus, with either busy jobs, or retired busy women who now feel its time for ‘them’. They often have been so busy in their lives that they haven’t done anything for themselves for years…
